The ICI CALDAIE S.p.A. was founded in 1958 and currently it can be considered as a leading company of the CHP sector thanks to the continuous research and development of highly reliable heating generators keeping up with the technological evolution. Every project is made by the R&D Department which is endowed with modern networked CAD stations; the preparation of the sub-assembled components is realised with laser cutters and numeric controlled machines; the perfect welding of the elements is ensured by modern robots, and every single boiler is subjected to a severe test which certifies its reliability. The development of new products, abiding the ever stricter European regulations as regards the use and emissions, is entrusted to a R&D Department endowed with modern instruments to verify the reliability and output of the boilers. All the produced models have the CE certification. In 1993 the ICIM (Istituto di Certificazione Industriale per la Meccanica) certified the Quality System of the ICI CALDAIE S.p.A. according to the Italian, European, and international standards UNI EN 29002 (IS0 9002); in June 2002 BVQI (Bureau Veritas Quality ìnsurance) conferred to the ICI CALDAIE S.p.A. the ISO 9001/94 certification, and in April 2004 – the ISO 9001/00 certification. In 2012, the ICI obtained ASME certification for heating boilers, power boilers and pressure vessels for the American market. In 2012 TUV conferred the ISO 14001 for environmental system. In 2013 TUV renewed the ISO 9001/08. In 2014 TUV conferred the OHSAS 18001 for health and safety system.

The ICI Caldaie has over 30,000 square meters of advanced equipment in order to guarantee high precision in constructing reliable products. Every project is performed by the Technical Office equipped with modern networked CAD stations; the development of new products, updated for the ever stricter European standards regarding consumption and emissions, is entrusted to a Research and Development laboratory equipped with modern tools to verify the reliability and performance of the boilers.
R&D activities will be held at the ICI_LAB, which is the pride of the ICI Caldaie Spa in the field of innovative high-tech research and development. All facilities and laboratories will be made available for PROMECA researchers hosted at ICI.

The project leading to this application has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 734561
